If you are looking for the classic program in Israel with a side order of adrenaline – this program is for you. In addition to the must-see historical sites your group will take on various adventure activities that may include biking, hiking, rappelling, spelunking and camping – all in the backdrop of Israel’s vast nature reserves – from the moutainous Golan Heights in the north to the southern Negev desert. Here’s what you can expect on the Taglit-Birthright Israel: Routes Travel - Amazing Israel Tour:
You will get up close and personal with the classic tourist sites and some hidden gems including the Old City and Western Wall in Jerusalem, Independence Hall in Tel Aviv, archaeological digging, the Sea of Galilee and Golan Heights, Sunrise at Masada, floating in the Dead Sea, hiking in the Negev Desert, laying out on the Mediterranean beaches, and partying in Israeli nightclubs.
You will meet between 5-10 Israeli peers who will be joining your group for at least 5 days as part of the mifgash program with Israeli soldiers.
You will be guided by a certified and licensed Israeli tour educator who promises to be dynamic, relevant, English speaking, and to the point.
You will hear from leading thinkers on the most pressing political and social issues on Israel’s agenda.
You will be protected by the highest standards of safety and security, including armed escorts and medics on your bus, a GPS tracking system and the strictest adherence to all public authority security guidelines.
You will be staying in 3-4 star hotel accommodations and will be offered a wide range of food choices mixing traditional Israeli cuisine with healthy food to keep you energized.
You will be treated to a unique Shabbat program that will involve walking tours and a visit to Jerusalem’s Old City. As a non-denominational program, you can expect to feel comfortable and welcomed no matter what your level of religious practice is – or isn’t!
